About The Mailroom Co.

I’m Tash, the founder and creative behind The Mailroom Co., a small Australian Christmas keepsake brand created on the Surf Coast of Victoria.

Before The Mailroom, I worked in wedding signage and stationery, where I fell in love with paper, design, wording and the tiny details that make something feel deeply personal. Years later, that same love found its way into Christmas.

The first Santa letters I made were for my nieces and nephew. Then friends asked for their own. Very quickly, I realised these letters carried something families were really looking for: a way to make Christmas feel personal, beautiful and believable.

Children may not remember every present Santa left under the tree, but they remember how Christmas felt.

That is what these letters are made for. A letter from Santa can become a little record of who a child was that year: what they loved, what they learnt, what made them brave, kind or wonderfully themselves. Something beautiful enough to keep, and meaningful enough to read again years later.

For parents, it is a quiet kind of magic too. Whether Christmas felt magical in your own childhood or you are creating that feeling for the first time, these are the moments you get to make for them. Many parents have told me the letters brought back something tender in them too.

The Mailroom Co. is built around an old-world kind of Christmas.

In my mind, it feels like a heritage hotel Santa might stay in at the North Pole: deep colours, vintage papers, old keys, beautiful envelopes, handwritten details and stories tucked into every corner.

Every letter is part of that world. The names, references, wording and details are considered so the magic feels consistent, as if it has arrived from the North Pole as if by magic.

These letters are more than a name dropped into a template.

They are personalised across multiple details, from the child’s name and envelope to the moments, memories and messages woven through the letter itself. Some families choose one of our guided templates. Others write something completely their own.

However you create it, the aim is always the same: a keepsake that feels thoughtful, authentic and worthy of being packed away with the Christmas memories that come out year after year.
